Zack Chown PT, DPT graduated w/ honors from Alabama State University with a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT). He completed his undergraduate studies at Pacific University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Zack has enhanced his physical therapy education by taking a variety of continuing education classes focusing on functional based movements, manual therapy, biomechanics of the golf swing, treatment of patients following total joint replacements, and more. He has been practicing physical therapy in the Columbia River Gorge since 2007.
Zack enjoys providing patient-centered care to his patients. He is a compassionate therapist who utilizes a combination of manual therapy, functional movements, and education of his patients to ensure that they are well equipped to deal with their current injury or situation. This approach allows the patient to reach their optimal health and performance level.
When not treating patients, Zack enjoys exploring the Columbia River Gorge w/ his wife, Rebecca, and their two children. He enjoys mountain biking, playing golf, hiking, trail running, and skiing on Mt. Hood. Zack is very active in the local soccer community as a coach and as a player. Fun fact; Zack played professional soccer prior to returning to graduate school to become a PT. His interest in the field of sports medicine and physical therapy was shaped through many hours spent on the treatment table and receiving top-notch care.
