Tim has 38 years of physical therapy experience with most of that in the Mid-Columbia area. After graduating from Pacific University in 1979 and practicing in Eugene for 11 years, Tim moved back to the Gorge, where he grew up.
Tim’s first five years were spent in a hospital setting including over a year with in-patient rehabilitation working with people with spinal cord injuries and strokes. Since then he has devoted his career to out-patient care.
He studied for six years through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy and became a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist in 1997. He opened Tim Foley Physical Therapy in 1996. In 1999 he passed the test to become an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. In 2004 he became a Certified Mulligan Practitioner. He was recertified as an OCS (Orthopedic Certified Specialist) in 2009.
Tim’s interests include manual and manipulative physical therapy and helping patients with neurological conditions. He emphasizes teaching people to correct postural faults and regain normal movement patterns.
He speaks Spanish and enjoys being involved in the Partners of the Americas, an exchange program between Oregon and Costa Rica. Yoga, biking, hiking and skiing keep him busy during off hours. Wendy, Tim’s wife, practices acupuncture at the clinic. Whenever they can, Wendy and Tim visit their son, his wife and their two granddaughters in Eugene.
