Cassie graduated with distinction from the Physical Therapy Progam at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada in 1995. She practiced physical therapy in Canada for 11 years before moving to the Gorge in the spring of 2006. She has been working at Tim Foley Physical Therapy since then.
She has studied extensively in the areas of biomechanics and sports injuries, and is an advanced orthopedic manipulative therapist. She has extensive experience in treating motor vehicle accident, work, and sport-related injuries. Her clients have ranged in age from 8 years old, to 102 years young.
Cassie started triathlon racing in 1995, with prior experience as a runner and mountain biker. She has completed many sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, more than 10 half-Ironman races, and two Ironman Canada races including a division win in 2007.
She is registered to compete in Ironman Arizona in 2009. Cassie grew up speaking English, but also speaks Spanish and French.
